Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you very much for your donation of £340.00. It seems like the winter has missed us this year, which means we shall shortly be releasing the nearly 300 hedgehogs that have been with us since last October. We have some lovely release sites dotted around the Norfolk countryside that are ideal for them. We deeply appreciate your support and could not do the work we do without you.
We have been in our new wildlife building for over a year now. However, we are continuing to raise funds to ensure it is fully equipped with everything needed for all the wildlife that comes in to us. We are currently in the process of sourcing aviaries for the rising number of birds of prey that are being brought in to us. Our aim is to get these beautiful birds back where they belong as quickly as possible and having good aviaries is a must. Those unable to be released are relocated to our safe wildlife area at the sanctuary, and occasionally show themselves to the quiet and patient people who sit in the wildlife hide hoping to get a glimpse. Unfortunately we have had a huge increase in hedgehog rescues and overwintering of hedgehogs, due to so many other rescues closing down.
Over the 20 years that PACT has been rescuing animals, we have helped over 13,600. With so many other wildlife rescues closing down, we are picking up the fledgling birds, hedgehogs and other wildlife that would have previously gone to them, so you will understand how vital it is to receive on-going support and donations from our supporters and we look to the next 20 years with confidence that you and our other supporters will help us achieve our goal to help as many animals as needed.
