Don’t forget the Dog this Easter.
Easter is a time when we traditionally treat ourselves to a chocolate egg, a slice of Simnel Cake or a delicious, freshly baked, Hot Cross Bun . Such treats are intended for us humans to enjoy but do also contain ingredients that are poisonous to our four legged friends.
Chocolate contains Theobromine which is poisonous to dogs, the darker the chocolate the more poisonous it is.
Simnel cake and Hot Cross Buns contain dried fruits which are toxic to dogs, even a small quantity can cause kidney failure.
If you’re spending time out in the garden this Easter, remember Daffodils, Tulips and Bluebells are all poisonous to our dogs.
If you suspect that your dog has been poisoned you need to act quickly. Contact your vet and ask for their advice.
From all at Animal Magic we wish you a happy Easter and look forward to seeing you for a fun packed spring term starting w/c 17th April.
