Have you ever wondered why your dog rubs his mouth along the carpet after a meal? This is because unlike humans dogs cannot lick their bottom lips so he is cleaning his mouth. So to keep your dog healthy and clean and your carpets from going smelly get your dog used to having his lower jaw washed after a meal (with his own facecloth or sponge). Plain water will do with most short haired breeds but for those with lots of folds or beards you may need a tiny bit of baby shampoo or Milton sterilising solution.
